For Cassiopeia J 5x: Can't this be accomplished by creating a custom module, (like a banner) placing the module to either the banner or top-a position (for a given page) and making it so the next article after the new module is the desired article by dragging the sort order? I did very similar the other day. I now have the TOP of the page showing 100% wide just what I want. I assigned that module assignment to just the page I want it to play on. Then the article assigned to the page plays there next in line. Yes the two are disjointed, but certainly do-able. I gave the module a background, some styling, etc. I now have a two-piece page where the thing is acting like the joomlerGR above has requested. FYI
